Ata-Allah Al-Iskandari (Hikam)
If the fact that people turn their backs to you or say bad things about you makes you suffer, return towards the knowledge of God in you; if this knowledge is not enough, then the lack of satisfaction by the knowledge of God is a test much more serious than the bad behavior of others. The goal of this behavior is that you do not rest on the creatures; God wants to bring you back from everything so that nothing will distract you from Him.

Shaykh Sidi Hamza al Qadiri al Boutshishi
The 'opening' (fath) is the sudden revealing of Divine Reality and thus the end of the illusion. It's like a ball of snow which one throws in the ocean. The ball of snow is the ego (nafs) and the ocean is the Divine Reality. The ball of snow is nothing but frozen water. Once thrown in the ocean, it becomes again liquid. Ego has only a transitory and illusory existence if one considers it in itself, cut of its origin. In the same way as the ball of snow, if one relies on its present state, with its actual consistency, it seems different from water; it appears to be of an original nature. Actually, it is nothing but water, a drop similar to all the other drops of the ocean. There is only one water and various states of this same water.

Tell
Joha arrives on the market place and shouts: Praise to God! Praise to God! My donkey is lost. Praise to God! A passer by approaches him and points out to him: You should feel sorry instead. Joha replied to him: Praise to God! If I had remained above it, I would be lost myself too.

Al 'Arabi Ad-Darqawi
There is no reality (mawjûd) except God:
- Everything (that exists) will perish except His own Face. (Koran 28, 88)
- All that is on earth will perish; and there will endure for ever the face of your Lord, the Lord of glory and honor. (Koran 55, 26-27)
- Such is Allah, your real Cherisher and Sustainer: apart from truth, what (remains) but error ? (Koran 10, 32)
- That is because Allah - He is the reality; and those besides Him whom they invoke,- they are but vain falsehood: (Koran 22, 62)
- Say: the Truth came and vanity disappeared, certainly vanity is dedicated to disappear (Koran 17, 81)
- Say: Allah : Then leave them to plunge in vain discourse and trifling. (Koran 6, 91).

Ata-Allah Al-Iskandari (Hikam)
The Lights often arrived at you, but they found your heart full with images of the creatures. They then returned from where they came.

Dhul-Nun Al-Misri
The wise ones always had three principles: to help all which is endowed with life, to distribute the benefits of God in the places where people meet to mention and remember Him, to wake up people to God by words of wisdom.

Imam 'Ali
Fear more the sin when you are out of sight, it is where your witness is also your judge.
