Ata-Allah
Al-Iskandari (Hikam)
He made this world a place of worry, a mine with abundance of
troubles, only to incite you to give it up.
Imam
'Ali
Child of Adam, you are nothing more than the addition of your
days. One day passes, and you are cut down by a portion of yourself.
Ata-Allah
Al-Iskandari (Hikam)
How can one put his hope in other that You, You which do not
stop Your Benefits? How can one beseech another that You, You
which did not cease showering us with Your kindness?
Hadith
(Al Daraqtuni)
The believer is the one with whom one feels a link of intimacy.
There is no good in someone who does not approach the others
or does not let the others approach him. The best of the men
are those from which the others can get benefit.
Ata-Allah
Al-Iskandari (Hikam)
O My God! Make me, by Your providence (tadbir), worry about
myself; save me, by choosing for me, to choose myself, and keep
me in the feeling of the need where I am, to turn to You.
Koran
7, 199
Hold to forgiveness; command what is right; and turn away from
the ignorant.
Al
Sulami
The 'futuwah' is a requirement for sincerity towards oneself
so that one is diverted from what occupies the other men. It
was reported to me that Abu Bakr Al Tamastani said: The one
who establishes a sincere relation towards God, is consequently
diverted from things of this world.
